There are some moments in life when you're either there or you're not and somehow that makes the world of difference.

When everything threatens to fold around you and what you need is a safe harbour and strong pillar. But ultimately you realize that it's just you and you've got to learn to deal by yourself. And that is life. And absence will always mark that moment. Or maybe you're just too idealistic for your own good.
