seriously, singaporeans are so kiasu and kaypoh and kiasi and like to complain
not saying that i'm not of course, i'm a singaporean after all :D
KIASU
but if anyone needs some entertainment, they should go to je library on a sunday morning. it is friking hilarious. when yj cherie and i got there it was like about 940-950 and there were already TONNES of people crowding outside the library waiting to go in, when the library opens at 10. i practically could hear the countdown in my head as the doors opened and everyone shoved their way in.
it is extremely unfortunate for small people with big bags and a yellow math file. they get squashed and left behind as their taller friends smoothly go with the flow.
and even though we were there so early, we still couldn't get a table! everyone was like rushing up the escalators and practically SPRINTING for them.
it was beri funny rly.
KAYPOH
it is also quite unfortunate, the way Singaporeans like to gawk. that day at vivo where yj cherie and i (again) were "mugging" at the sky garden, there was this man having some screaming fit or something.
cherie & i thought he was drunk. or lost. or slightly mad.
but there were like 30+ people crowding around and just blatently staring and whispering.
if i were him i'd have screamed even louder to scare everyone away.
and today at my house carpark there was this guy shouting at the give saman man that 'YOU ARE THE ONE IN THE WRONG YOU GIVE ME SAMAN BUT I GOT PUT COUPON!' and while i would have liked to help mediate, i think they'd have ignored me for being young and retarded.
and then there was this couple just watching the show whispering and pointing, this guy walking his dogs who stopped and stared, but nobody seemed to offer to help settle the issue.
and that guy was being extremely unreasonable also, "shouting like a bit mad like that", while the saman man was very evidently trying to calm him down.
KIASI
i honestly cannot understand bus drivers sometimes.
i forgot to bring my ezlink card out today (after looking in my wallet for the distance of a bus stop) and paid 50cents for the ride, which is correct right i'm a student after all. then the bus driver insisted i show him my student pass if not id have to pay the adult fare.
like hello, i forgot to bring my ezlink card, which is why i'm paying in coins in the first place right. so how am i supposed to show you my ezlink card? i offered to show him my some other club card that has a picture of me in SCHOOL UNIFORM and shows my year of birth, but he flatly refused and said that it must be my student pass!
!@#$%^&*()
honestly, if the protocol was to show the student pass before you can pay student fare, then sbs must as well make EVERYONE pay adult fare.

proof: this post.
ah, nothing warms the heart like Singaporean behaviour.
