i dont understand why some people don't read. go click on random blogs and you'd find quizzes and when the quizzes ask what book are you reading (or its equivalent), the answer is more often than not "i dont read books =.=" "i very long never read books alr leh" "i don't like books".
i dont just think it's sad, i think it is FRIKING TRAGIC. i'm not saying that it is a must for everyone to read but seriously they have no idea what they're missing out on. i shall not go on a little rant about how books transport you to places (although its true), but yes dude if you read more you'd probably not be scratching your head over the meaning of a simple word.
but honestly, reading is the simplest form of culture there is. to me that is. and those who dont read or do anything else related to culture, are a very sad bunch of uncultured people indeed, whose world is limited to their gadgets and their life long mission is to find the perfect camera angle that makes their eyes look revoltingly oversized.
so when i see friendster profiles that scream I DONT LIKE READING i just feel like flaming them and go "MAYBE IF YOU READ MORE YOU'D KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TAKE, TOOK AND TAKEN (:" im sorry, i get a little bit anal about (edit:grammar) sometimes.
anw i think it sucks to have to wear the blue skirt to cca (because mine is with shirleen who is in thailand) and apparently, "the image of the school is not upheld when we wear pe shorts in public". i dont know what kind of skewed image the public has when they see us, but for me? i just see a person in shorts.
honestly, i think the only person who cares when they see us in shorts is the school. pretty sure that the public doesn't give a shit
